"I went out with Danny in 1986/87, when we both lived in Germany. Danny was in the army and I used to be the camp hairdresser. The relationship didn't go anywhere as Danny was posted away. "I sent Chris a wink on the 18th December 2005, and he replied a couple of weeks later. I lived in Yeovil, Somerset, and Chris lived in Luton, Bedfordshire (a 300+ mile round trip). We got on really well, (apart from the nerves), and Chris drove down to me a couple of weeks later. We bought the ring after we got back from holiday in September 2006. In 2007, we started making wedding plans and looking for somewhere to live together in Hertfordshire. Chris did not want to move to Somerset, he said it was too quiet and boring! We found a cosy little two bed house to rent in Stevenage, and we are very happy here.

"It all started when I joined Friends Dating. Part of the site lets you see who has been looking at your profile and I noticed a smiley face looking back at me one evening. I read his profile, and liked what I read. I had no hesitation in contacting him through the site and was delighted when he responded straight away with a message. After only a few messages through the site, we exchanged our e-mail addresses. I found myself running in from work to see if I had a message. Once we had exchanged telephone numbers both our phone bills doubled, we talked for hours, and we could not wait to meet. Then on 7th September I drove over to meet Martin. For both of us the attraction was immediate, love at first sight, and ever since have spent every weekend together.
